At Kothari Classes, Jalgaon, the second question parents ask after 10th results is: 'PCB lein ya PCM?' Here is the 4-question framework our principal uses every admission season.
Q1 — Which subject did your child actually enjoy, not just score in?
Enjoyment predicts endurance. A child who loved Biology will outlast a child who merely scored high in Biology.
Q2 — How does your child handle long memory loads vs numerical problem-solving?
PCB = memory, patience, detail. PCM = logic, speed, comfort with being stuck on a sum for 30 minutes. Knowing your child honestly saves years.
Q3 — Which careers actually excite them?
- Medicine, allied health, research → PCB.
- Engineering, tech, architecture, defence → PCM.
- Still unsure → PCMB, but only if your child can handle the heaviest workload.
Q4 — Can we get them the right coaching for the chosen path?
Great stream + poor coaching = average result. At Kothari Classes in Baliram Peth, we mentor every senior student 1-on-1 and align the stream decision with a realistic NEET/JEE/MHT-CET plan.
